United States Penitentiary, Beaumont is a high security United States Penitentiary in unincorporated Jefferson County, Texas, near Beaumont, and a part of the Federal Correctional Complex, Beaumont. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
In 2009, two prisoners were indicted for murdering fellow prison inmate Gabriel N. Rhone (BOP register # 09304-007) in 2007 with shanks made in the prison.[1][2]
